XMAS SONG: ALL I WANT FOR XMAS IS YOU

THIS IS THE SONG FOR THIS YEAR:

-LYRICS

I don't want a lot for Christmas

There is just one thing I need

I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree

I just want you for my own

More than you could ever know

Make my wish come true

All I want for Christmas is you

Yeah

I don't want a lot for Christmas

There is just one thing I need (and I)

Don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree

I don't need to hang my stocking there upon the fireplace

Santa Claus won't make me happy with a toy on Christmas Day

I just want you for my own

More than you could ever know

Make my wish come true

All I want for Christmas is you

You, baby

Oh, I won't ask for much this Christmas

I won't even wish for snow (and I)

I'm just gonna keep on waiting underneath the mistletoe

I won't make a list and send it to the North Pole for Saint Nick

I won't even stay awake to hear those magic reindeer click

'Cause I just want you here tonight

Holding on to me so tight

What more can I do?

Oh, baby, all I want for Christmas is you

You, baby

Oh-oh, all the lights are shining so brightly everywhere (so brightly, baby)

And the sound of children's laughter fills the air (oh, oh, yeah)

And everyone is singing (oh, yeah)

I hear those sleigh bells ringing

Santa, won't you bring me the one I really need? (Yeah, oh)

Won't you please bring my baby to me?

Oh, I don't want a lot for Christmas

This is all I'm asking for

I just wanna see my baby standing right outside my door

Oh, I just want you for my own

More than you could ever know

Make my wish come true

Oh, baby, all I want for Christmas is you

You, baby

All I want for Christmas is you, baby

All I want for Christmas is you, baby

All I want for Christmas is you, baby

All I want for Christmas (all I really want) is you, baby

All I want (I want) for Christmas (all I really want) is you, baby

SUMMER TIME

We don't know how, but the end of the school year has arrived. I know that you want to switch off from school's routines, but I recommend you to keep your English alive! How?

Activities to do along the summer:

  1. Write a real postcard from the place you go on holidays. Look at the presentation and follow the steps to write yours.

  • Listen to English songs using Lyrics Training
  • Go to Vapor Badia Library and borrow an English book to read in English
  • Play games in English. Here you have some of them
  • Read and listen to about amazing animals (National Geographic for Kids)
  • Spell words from your Year 5 vocabulary following the video "Stay in, spell it"

  • Also, you can use videos to improve your fluency. The videos below are examples. Try to match the tone, speed and even the accent (if you can). It doesn’t matter if you miss a few words, the important thing is to keep talking.

  •

A PART OF THOSE VIDEOS, REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE THE "SPEAKINGSPEAKING" PAGE AT THE TOP OF THIS BLOG. THERE YOU HAVE SOME COMMON STRUCTURES TO REPEAT

    • In Nasa webpage you can learn about the Space and you can play games (tap on the image)

    • TV3 has many programmes to promote the use of English (tap on the image).

    EARTH DAY

Each year, April 22nd marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.
It means that people around the world are becoming more conscious of the urgent need to reduce pollution and save our green and blue planet.

    HOW TO WRITE SLOGANS
    1) Start using an infinitive verb: save, stop, live, clean, recycle, reuse, plant, pick up,...
    2) Do not think a long slogan. Short slogans are easier to remember
    3) Look at these examples:

    4) Now, it's your turn! Design your logo using Autodraw !
